Mast tuning made simpler

Be the first to comment

What is the issue?
Altering or tuning a mast is typically achieved by moving about the boat rotating the bottle screws. Tightening and loosening the mast is an art that is frustrated by each bottle screws lay-up determining which way they turn to achieve the desired effect.

Why address this?
Inconsistent bottle screws will frustrate the ‘tune-up’ and take longer to achieve the desired results.

How to address this?
Lay up all the vessels bottle screws from the outset so that they all screw in and out from the same direction, irrespective of their location on the boat.
