Keeping the cockpit clear of sheets

Be the first to comment

What is the issue?
Sheet lines can coil untidily in and about an active cockpit causing a mess and a difficult work environment.

Why address this?
Sheet lines are annoying in the cockpit. They make it difficult to find a comfortable footing, tangle and collect dirt. The only way to effectively clear them is to hand coil them and hang them. However this takes some time and once a trim is required you are obliged to release the hand coils to reset and recoil again.

How to address this?
Make special sheet pockets when renewing spray dodgers as shown in figure 1 secured with turn button, or figure 2 in the spray dodgers or 3 attached to the aft of the cockpit.
