Hanging light pictures

Be the first to comment

What is the issue?
Pictures require a solid purchase in a seagoing vessel. In most cases the obvious mounting solution is to run a securing bolt through a bulkhead. This type of engineering is much more than a light picture requires and the bulkhead damage is less than desirable.

Why address this?
It is pleasant to personalise your vessel and make it a home from home. If this is easily achieved so much the better.

How to address this?
Attach the pictures with Velcro as presented in figure 1. Most frames are very light and two well applied strips of Velcro, both to the picture and the frame, should have no issue supporting it.
