Stronger streams are indicated by heavier or longer arrows, and as mentioned above, red arrows flagging rates of 3 knots and above. Numerals represent [mean neap, mean spring] rates in tenths of a knot. For example the numbers 12,23 would indicate a mean neap of 1.2 knots and a mean spring of 2.3 knots.

Today: A cloudy day across the region with outbreaks of rain. During the afternoon a line of heavier showers will possibly develop, extending from south London towards the west. Maximum Temperature 20C.
Tonight: A sunny evening across the far south east, cloud elsewhere. Widespread showers reaching the south coast in the early hours and moving northwards with a risk of thunder. Minimum Temperature 12C.
Monday: Cloudy throughout Monday with heavy showers continuing to push northwards. Showers becoming lighter late afternoon but staying cloudy. Low risk of thundery showers for Kent and the south coast overnight. Maximum Temperature 15C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Scattered cloud on Tuesday, sunny in the evening followed by a cool night. Starting sunny on Wednesday but turning cloudy from the west during the afternoon. Cloudy with showers Thursday.
