Youghal
A completely protected location with attentive navigation required for access. 3 metres LWS. Youghal is a historic port town located on the south coast of Ireland and on the west side of the river estuary that forms the Cork/Waterford border. The town quay basin dries, but it offers seasonal visitor moorings, a visitor pontoon and the choice of several anchoring areas, one of which is off of the town. get full information »

A tolerable location with straightforward access. 2 metres LWS. Knockadoon Slip is located on the south coast of Ireland, just off Knockadoon Head in the southwest corner of Youghal Bay. It offers an anchorage off a small rural slip with a breakwater. get full information »

Ballycotton
A good location with straightforward access. 2 metres LWS. Ballycotton Harbour is situated on Ireland’s southern coast about 16 miles east by northeast of the entrance to Cork Harbour. It is a rural, traditional fishing harbour outside of which a vessel may anchor, pick up moorings or come alongside the wall if space is available. get full information »

Aghada
A good location with safe access. 3 metres LWS. Aghada is situated on the south coast of Ireland within and on the east side of Cork’s extensive natural harbour. Northeast of Great Island

Ringabella Bay
A good location with safe access. 3 metres LWS. Ringabella Bay is situated on the south coast of Ireland and on the western side to the approach to the entrance to Cork Harbour. It offers an anchorage off a secluded beach with the possibility of landing on the beach or in the drying estuarial inlet immediately above. Kinsale is situated on the south coast of Ireland about eleven miles southwest of the entrance to Cork Harbour and six miles north by northeast of the Old Head of Kinsale. Holeopen Bay East is situated on the southwest coast of Ireland, about fifteen miles southwest of Cork Harbour and immediately northeast of the Old Head of Kinsale. The Rosscarbery Inlet is located at the head of the Rosscarbery Bay on the southwest coast of Ireland, about four miles east of Glandore and three miles northwest of Galley Head. Glandore Harbour is located on the southwest coast of Ireland, at the west end of Glandore Bay which is entered between Galley Head and Toe Head. A good location with straightforward access. 2 metres LWS. Blind Harbour is a small sea inlet on the southwest coast of Ireland, it is approximately half a mile east of the mouth of Castlehaven and two and half nautical miles west of Glandore. Castlehaven (Castletownshend)
A good location with safe access. 3 metres LWS. Castlehaven is a river inlet that is located on the southwest coast of Ireland, approximately midway between Glandore and Toe Head. Barloge Creek is located on the southwest coast of Ireland about four miles to the east of the entrance to Baltimore Harbour. A completely protected location with safe access. 3 metres LWS. Located on Ireland’s southwest corner, Baltimore is a natural mainland harbour tucked in behind Sherkin, Spanish and Ringarogy Islands. It is a fishing port, a ferry boat service point and a busy yachting centre that provides several anchoring opportunities, alongside moorings and the potential to come alongside a pontoon. get full information »

Castle Ruins, Sherkin Island
A completely protected location with safe access. 3 metres LWS. Located off Ireland’s southwest corner, Sherkin Island creates the natural Baltimore Harbour that lies between it and Spanish, Ringarogy Islands as well as the mainland. Horseshoe Harbour, Sherkin Island
A good location with attentive navigation required for access. 4 metres LWS. Located off Ireland’s southwest corner Sherkin Island creates the natural harbour of Baltimore that is situated between it, other islands and the mainland. Horseshoe Harbour is outside this natural enclosed harbour on the southeast and seaward side of the island itself, adjacent to Baltimore’s southern entrance. North Harbour (Trawkieran), Clear Island
A good location with attentive navigation required for access. 3 metres LWS. North Harbour (Trawkieran) is the principal harbour of Clear Island that is located eight miles off the West Cork coast and is Ireland's southernmost inhabited island. It offers deep-draft vessels the option to come alongside a protected leisure pontoon set within the ferry port or anchor outside. Kinish Harbour, Sherkin Island
A good location with highly involved navigation required for access. 4 metres LWS. Located off Ireland’s southwest corner Sherkin Island creates the natural harbour of Baltimore that is situated between it, other islands and the mainland. Kinish Harbour is outside of this natural enclosure entered from the northwest and seaward side of Sherkin island that faces Hare Island. Turk Head, River Ilen

A good location with careful navigation required for access. 2 metres LWS. Located in the centre of Roaringwater Bay, Heir Island is immediately northwest of Sherkin Island and southwest of the mainland. Trá Bán, Heir Island (East Beach)
A tolerable location with attentive navigation required for access. 3 metres LWS. Located in the centre of Roaringwater Bay, Heir Island is immediately northwest of Sherkin Island and southwest of the mainland. The smallest of the three inhabited islands in the bay area, this is a secluded anchorage close to its popular east-facing and shoreward facing beach. get full information »

Calf Island East
An exposed location with attentive navigation required for access. 2 metres LWS. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast Calf Island East is the easternmost of a group of three low lying islands that occupy a central position within Roaringwater Bay. A good location with attentive navigation required for access. 2 metres LWS. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast, Poulgorm Bay lies at the head of the extensive shallow Roaringwater Bay inlet. A good location with attentive navigation required for access. 3 metres LWS. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast, Ballydehob Bay lies at the head of the extensive shallow Roaringwater Bay inlet. It offers a secluded anchorage in a remote area with access to the small coastal town up the estuary with a rise of the tide. A good location with straightforward access. 3 metres LWS. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast, Rossbrin Cove is situated at the head of Long Island Bay in a small drying south-facing inlet. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast, Dereenatra is situated at the head of Long Island Bay approximately a mile and a half to the eastward of the entrance to Schull Harbour. A good location with straightforward access. 3 metres LWS. Castle Island is a small uninhabited island in Roaringwater Bay located on Ireland’s southwest coast at the head of Long Island Bay. A good location with straightforward access. 3 metres LWS. Castle Island is a small uninhabited island in Roaringwater Bay located on Ireland’s southwest coast at the head of Long Island Bay. Schull Harbour (Skull)

Located on Ireland’s southwest coast Schull Harbour is situated at the head of Long Island Bay in a south-facing bight of the shoreline that leads out to Mizen Head. Located on Ireland’s southwest coast, Long Island is situated at the head of Long Island Bay, close south of the mainland and immediately outside of the entrance to Schull Harbour.
