Comfortably providing food during the first days of passage

What is the issue?
The first days of a passage can be challenging to the entire crew as this is the time when seasickness has its most marked effect.

Why address this?
Preparing food at this stage of the passage is a highly uncomfortable task. Working down below with anything intricate and prolonged will surely push that crew member over the edge. Having a good wholesome solution on tap for the crew will be of enormous benefit as a whole.

How to address this?
Maximise galley time when it is steady and calm, and external resources are available. Stock up on a good quantity of fresh bread and cook a large pot of stew immediately prior to departure. Having this readily available minimises the amount of galley time required at the outset of a passage.
