Preparing courtesy flags for ports of entry.

Be the first to comment

What is the issue?
Cruising areas that encompasses a number of different nations necessitates flying the national courtesy flag for that country.

Why address this?
Purchasing courtesy flags for each country as you go along can be expensive and sometimes the flag you need is not readily available.

How to address this?
Before you depart look at your planned itinerary and make the courtesy flags you are sure to use before you go. Take with you plenty of material in different colours and if there are any changes in your route (which there are sure to be) so you can make the flag of that country. You will also need to invest in fabric paint as some countries have complicated emblems which are far easier to paint than sew.
