What legal jurisdiction does eOceanic operate in?

The products we provide are operated from the European Economic Area (EEA). If you are located outside of the EEA and choose to use the products or provide information to us, you acknowledge and understand that your information will be transferred, processed and stored in the EEA to provide this service.

What information about me do you share publicly?

When you join the eOceanic community, we show nothing, your profile and your activities are set to be private by default. You only share your activities and opinions when you want to and take that active step to do so in separate discreet instances. For example, when you choose to share a 'Haven', item of 'Experience', or 'Route', your track as being logged on 'eOceanic Go' when you decide to make it available on eOceanic.com or make public comments on the site. With a social network aspect in 'eOceanic Go', you can choose, in future releases, to invite your contacts to view your present location and activities and invite dialogue. But all of these are individual active decisions you decided to do and cease once completed, then returning to the default 'private' setting.

What information do you show about me if I do that?

Your name and user profile information is only viewable by other eOceanic users when you decide to share content and post it. For example, your comments or shared photographs, if selected for posting, will be accessed by other eOceanic members and non-members or viewable on publicly accessible eOceanic pages. Your logged passages and profile are visible only for as long as you want them to be.
